Strategic Partnerships Manager

The role:
As a Strategic Partnerships Manager, you'll be joining a world-class team that is transforming the future of transportation in cities. We're building a revolutionary platform that helps private operators (freight, ridehailing fleets, shared scooters, cars, bikes) collaborate with cities through better data. In just two years, our rapidly-growing platform has expanded to 70 cities globally, working with the world's largest mobility companies.

We are rapidly expanding our ecosystem of partners.  You'll be a core member of our sales and strategy team and will play a key role in establishing and maintaining relationships with consulting, TNC, freight, and private mobility partners, including driving integration and building business models to improve operations in cities across the world. You will also play a key role in developing industry standards for data sharing and their use cases, driving the integration of those standards into Populus’ product.

-Develop partnership strategy based on research, expertise and understanding of Populus’ strategy and goals.
-Manage, qualify, evaluate and establish a strong pipeline of strategic key partners opportunities that would align with the Populus mission and vision
-Manage partner relationships from initial discussions and relationship management through agreement closing and partner management. Build strong long term relationships with partners.
-Own the negotiation process on agreements, working effectively across all cross functional key internal stakeholders.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, legal, business operations, marketing, and finance to support partnership development and management.

About You:
-Relevant experience in developing channel sales or managing partnerships, ideally in the technology, government, and/or transportation industries.
-Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects with a broad range of internal and external constituents simultaneously.
-Proven track record of handling complex negotiations with multiple stakeholders.
-Understanding of the transportation ecosystem and data standards
-Excellent communication skills to build relationships and negotiate with various stakeholder groups.
-Strong analytical and reasoning skills with technical, contractual and financial issues; impeccable business judgment.

Bonus points if you have:
-A master’s degree in transportation, urban planning, or MBA 
- Experience working with city departments of transportation
- An extensive network in the transportation ecosystem.
