Portage Point is currently seeking an exceptional Head of Business Development to drive revenue through client relationship management in support of our work on challenging performance improvement, transformation, strategic realignment, financial restructuring and other operational and financial advisory projects across a variety of industries. The Head of Business Development will lead market and competitor analysis and execute strategic initiatives ultimately increasing enhancing market position. The Head of Business Development role represents a unique opportunity for a highly capable professional with an extensive private equity and / or financial sponsor network and a proven track record in making substantial contributions to overall firm growth. This candidate will leverage deep industry relationships to further enhance the firm’s strategic business development initiatives to help the firm expand its client portfolio.


    • Developing, coordinating and implementing strategies designed to increase existing business and capture new opportunities
    • Leading coverage strategies and account management processes
    • Seeking out new business opportunities
    • Cultivating relationships with new and existing referral sources
    • Maintaining and updating business development / relationship management content, including collateral and case studies used for pitches, presentations and proposals
    • Developing proposals


    • Bachelors’ Degree in relevant field of study
    • 10+ years of relevant work experience including business development experience in professional and / or financial services and / or corporate lending / investment management
    • Proven track record of building client relationships, generating meaningful increases in opportunity volume and delivering exceptional closing metrics
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong e-mail etiquette
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Top-tier organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Experience with a CRM experience, ideally DealCloud / Intapp
