Who we are

PowerTrade is a fast growing crypto trading platform for trading crypto options and other crypto derivatives. Our Android and iOS Apps are live in the respective App Stores, and offer a mobile- first trading experience that’s designed to be simple, fast and focused on trader success.

PowerTrade not only offers a mobile-first crypto options platform, but has also designed the PTF DAO token which governs a treasury covering traders in black-swan events. We want traders to be successful and do everything we can to educate and inform the trading community of opportunities in crypto.

About The Role

As a global FinTech platform, PowerTrade takes our Compliance obligations seriously. We seek to balance the needs of a strong compliance regime with great user experience, aiming always to ensure that our business is a responsible member of the community, minimise risk to our operations and ensure that bad actors have no access to our services. We are looking for someone to lead this effort, representing the business to regulators, authorities and business partners while driving an internal compliance program that emphasises strong controls to protect our users and the business from money laundering, terror financing and other threats.

Job Duties

    • Advise and support the business on all compliance matters and ensure the business is in alignment with license conditions as well as industry best practices globally
    • Formulate group AML/CFT policy, standards, operating procedures and controls
    • Liaise with regulators, FIUs and other authorities in relation to our Compliance function
    • Ensure AML/CTF and other regulatory requirements are fulfilled in our products and services
    • Work with product, CS and other teams to mitigate technology and regulatory risks
    • Implement and conduct regular training programs to educate staff on Compliance obligations, regulatory updates and procedures
    • Understand and communicate regulatory and risk constraints affecting requirements and estimates to leadership and a variety of stakeholders
    • Serve as Data Protection and Money Laundering Reporting Officers

Our Ideal Candidate

    • 7+ years of relevant experience in compliance roles of an international scope (AML/CFT) in a regulated industry (preferable Financial Services)
    • Relevant qualifications, such as CAMS, ICA Diploma, etc.
    • Operational experience (Transaction monitoring, etc), as well as experience with regulatory matters 
    • Experience in developing and administering controls and processes
    • Has experience with options trading or blockchain tech (or wants to learn)
    • Is meticulous, well-organised, and outcome driven
