Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Development Operations Specialist with excellent communication and customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Under the direction of the Sr. Director, Development Operations and Donor Analytics, the Development Operations Specialist assists the Development Department by maintaining daily operations including significant data entry, routine and customized on demand reporting, tailored donor acknowledgements, regular database maintenance and daily gift processing.

All employees of PPLA are defined as Healthcare Workers by current Public Health Orders and are required to receive the seasonal influenza immunization and updated COVID-19 immunization (2024-2025) formula OR wear a respiratory mask when in contact with patients or working in patient care areas.
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum three(3) years of data entry experience and office support, preferably with a fundraising or financial software program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge (or similar database), Research Point, Wealth Engine, and Importomatic preferred.
- Familiarity with various aspects of non-profit fundraising desirable.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required
- Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County.
- Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work.
About the Position:
- Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers, and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPLA locations, and by all PPLA employees. Supporting these critical services is an essential job duty, and a fundamental responsibility of all employees and contractors.
- Accurate and timely daily data/gift entry, and maintenance of fundraising database – Raiser’s Edge (Blackbaud).
- Produce prompt, appropriate and accurate donor acknowledgments and tributes.
- Manage the appeal upload process for Development Department mailings.
- Provide support to the Sr. Director of Operations and Analytics in database administration.
- Manage all merge records and ensure data integrity.
- Manage all deceased constituent records through regular research and information monitoring.
- Maintain donor gift filing system and agency gift records.
- Maintain database systems, and assist in producing daily, monthly and annual reports as needed.
- Maintain and update constituent records in donor database and assist with special data projects.
- Manage department’s online giving (PPOL/PPLA website) through weekly downloads and database uploads as well as quarterly reconciliations. Provide reporting on online giving.
- Collaborate with finance department to reconcile donor gift receipts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly
- Perform monthly financial reporting and reconciliations with finance department
- Identify and resolve ongoing gift processing issues and daily batch reconciliations coordinate preparation and perform quality control of VIP forms.
- Support annual audit process.

- Hiring range: $29.28 to $35.14 per hour (Non-Exempt)
