Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Lead with excellent customer service skills to work in our Downtown Los Angeles Headquarters. Under the general supervision of the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for the day-to-day accounts payable process. This work involves reviewing and processing invoices in an accurate and timely manner; providing vendor support through the performance of analysis and reconciliation of invoices and maintaining business relationships; and maintaining accounts payable files and backup documentation. This position also manages mail, file storage, cash logistics and assists with monthly and annual close, documentation and processing.

Our Ideal Candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance-related field or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of three(3) years Accounts Payable experience required.
- Non-profit and healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the accounts payable and three-way match process
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) or Accumatica is a plus, Excel & Word required.
- Ability and willingness to travel within Los Angeles County.
- Reliable means of transportation for onsite and off-site work.
About the position:
- Abortion patients are cared for at each of our health centers, and in part through the administrative, support, and other non-clinical services provided at all PPLA locations, and by all PPLA employees. Supporting these critical services is an essential job duty, and a fundamental responsibility of all employees and contractors.
- Manage activities within the Accounts Payable and Accrued Purchase processes.
- Support AP Specialist’s Purchase Order and Non-Purchase Order Invoice entries.
- Coordinate the posting of invoices, expense reports and patient refund transactions.
- Perform and/or monitor all Purchase Order and Non-Purchase Order month-end duties, including the open vendor statements, accrued purchasing aging analysis, and purchase order issues tracker.
- Maintain the integrity of general ledger accounts that are assigned, such as Accounts Payable, and Accrued Purchases, ensuring accuracy of all transactions
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the General Ledger Accounts Payable Module
- Maintain open vendor statements, accrued purchasing aging analysis, and purchase order issues tracker.
- Support the maintenance of the vendor master list within General Ledger System, including the creation of new vendors, changes to existing vendors, monitoring over the W-9 process to ensure up-to-date documentation exists
- Coordinate the weekly vendor payment workflow and ad-hoc ach and check processing.
- Actively participate in the external audit process.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for external reporting and government requirements, including preparation and issuance of the annual 1099s.
- Perform all Accounts Payable Specialist duties as needed per the applicable Accounts Payable Specialist.
