Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a passionate and committed Manager, People, Culture & Equity Generalist. This job reports to the Senior Director, PCE Business Partner Leader in the People, Culture & Equity (PCE) Division of PPFA. The PCE division is a critical partner in building the people strategy and organizational culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent.

Purpose:
The Manager, People, Culture & Equity Generalist will be the go-to person supporting PCE Business Partners (BPs) for multiple business units and jurisdictions. As an integral part of the PCE BP Team, they will support and collaborate with the PCE Business Partners (PCEBPs) in various capacities, including project management, employee relations, labor relations, employee policy development, compensation, and data analytics. The Manager, People, Culture & Equity Generalist will serve as a resource to all PPFA employees by responding to inquiries regarding PCE programs and/or policies and procedures. 

Delivery:
• Complete day-to-day transactions for employee life cycle movement (new hire, termination, position change, promotion, pay changes) by inputting and maintaining the integrity of HRIS data and ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare employee notices for position and pay changes and related documentation. 
• Lead job evaluation processes to determine appropriate job classifications and salary levels.
• Conduct salary surveys and utilize market data to benchmark and adjust salary ranges as needed.
• Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Support investigations by scheduling meetings, taking notes in interviews, gathering evidence, and compiling reports. Grow to handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors under the direction of PCE BPs, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters as needed. 
• Deliver and maintain specialized reporting for PCE BPs to assess key performance indicators and provide data-informed insights for decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve data collection and recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency and services performed. 
• Organize and oversee various division projects for the BP team, not limited to the bi-annual promotion cycle, creation of SOPs, drafting of employee policies, and developing comprehensive project plans to guide stakeholders to ensure timely delivery. Exercise knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of team members, reducing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Engagement: 
• Support the PCE BP team in addressing employee concerns and resolving issues by serving as a first point of contact for employee inquiries, providing basic guidance on HR policies and procedures, and escalating to appropriate stakeholders as necessary.
• Communicate progress of ongoing projects with the Senior Director, PCE Business Partner Leader, and BPs and advise of challenges. 
• Assist in the development of programs and policies that will be created and/or managed by the PCE Business Partners.
• Engage with labor unions and the secondary point of contact by responding to delegate requests and updating union employees, delegates, and the collective bargaining unit on enrollment changes. 
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams within PCE on projects and initiatives, such as employee Great Places to Work engagement survey, quarterly performance management, and HR system enhancements, contributing to the continuous improvement of PCE processes.
• Build strong relationships across PPFA and, in particular, with the PCE Business Partners, People Operations team, Employment Attorney in OGC, and union delegates to manage projects and stay current on HR systems and processes. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): 
• A minimum of 4 years of related People, Culture & Equity/ Human Resources work experience, preferably in growing and dynamic organizations, delivering organization-wide PCE programs in organization development, compensation, or talent management.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail.
• Ability to recognize, research, and respond to problems with potential solutions in a highly professional, confidential, and sensitive manner with limited information.
• Demonstrated track record in managing multiple projects and programs to successful completion in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to get involved and pitch in with what needs to be done to meet the client's needs. 
• Comfortable with rapid change and uncertainty and pivoting as needed in response to internal and external priorities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate to meet critical deadlines. 
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. 
• Experience with HR systems & programs, including Excel and Google Work Suite required.

Travel: Less than 5%
$90,000 - $95,000 a year
