Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis. This role reports to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis in the Reporting & Analysis department (Finance) of PPFA. The Reporting & Analysis Department leads all Planning, Budgeting, and internal reporting activities, including the Annual Budget, the Mid-Year Budget, and Quarterly Reporting to executive leadership and the Board, as well as the Management/enhancement of Adaptive Insights, PPFA’s Planning software.

Purpose:

The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will provide tactical analytical support and be a key contributor to the FP&A Team as part of an ongoing initiative to build an FP&A Center of Excellence. 

Delivery:

●Supports the rebuild of Adaptive Insights (Workday) by maintaining the Chart of Accounts, running, creating and modifying reports, managing user access and ensuring Adaptive is in sync with the General Ledger and Intacct new structure.
●Prepares and distributes Monthly Reporting Packages to a variety of internal stakeholders using SAGE and Adaptive reports and provides accompanying in-depth variance analysis; assists in the preparation of quarterly Finance Committee materials for PPFA and the Action Fund and updates all supporting files, graphs and schedules. 
● Develop new ways to automate and streamline the quarterly reporting process with newly-developed Adaptive capabilities.
●Monitors and forecasts key organizational financial metrics, including Functional Expense Ratio and Social Welfare Ratio; involved in ad-hoc analysis such as trend analysis on the distribution of funds, Change in Net Assets by funding class (restricted vs. unrestricted funding) or the impact of the change in hiring activities. 
●Financial Modeling: Maintains and improves the  Workforce Planning Model using advanced Excel features (Power pivot tables and Office Connect) and actively participates in their transition to the Adaptive Cube.
●Maintains all Project Management Tools, including trackers, RACI matrix, calendars, checklists, status reports, and timelines.
●Actively supports the Annual Budget and Mid-Year Reforecast exercises, from creating user-friendly templates and collecting feedback from stakeholders to uploading approved versions in systems of records.

Engagement:
 
●Build strong partnerships with other areas of the Finance and Accounting teams as well as with Development, People & Culture, and Adaptive subject matter experts to drive efficiencies, facilitate data-driven decision making and add value to the FP&A Team. 
●Partners with the Accounting Team to prepare the supporting files needed for the monthly Resource Allocation and Net Asset Balance Entries. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
 
●4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably with a 501c(3) organization or a major public accounting firm.
●FPAC preferred but not required
●Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting (CPA, CFA  certification a plus).
●Advanced Financial Modeling and Excel skills (SUMIFS, Lookups, multi-condition tests etc.).
●Previous experience with Adaptive Insights would be a plus, as well as having been involved in the implementation of (or exposed to) a major Planning software (Hyperion, Tableau, etc.).
●Should have an innovative mindset, be open to working with new technologies, and not be afraid to “break the mold.”
●Ability to recognize and respond to problems with potential solutions in a highly professional, confidential and sensitive manner.
●Must be excited to be part of a highly visible change environment, open to developing world-class reporting tools, and always consider new and automated ways to handle the workload. 
●Must be a critical thinker who will anticipate scenarios and potential requests rather than have a reactive approach.
●Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
●Excellent analytical skills with sharp attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines. 
●High proficiency in Google products

Travel: 0-10%

$75,000 - $80,000 a year
