Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an attentive and skillful Graphic Designer. This job reports to the Creative Director in the Brand Department of PPFA/PPAF. The Brand Team works to develop and deliver a clear and culturally competent brand expression that strengthens the relationship with our audience, broadens the breadth of our equity, values, and beliefs, and drives the organization's external strategies for shifting culture toward positive sexual and reproductive health care and rights. The Brand Team is part of the Communications and Culture Division at PPFA.
Purpose:
• Create and execute a variety of print and digital materials, including but not limited to social and digital graphics, brochures, presentations, reports, templates, event materials, and merchandise that advance the organization’s goals
• Collaborate closely with creative directors, designers, and additional members of the Brand Department to support the ever-demanding and developing initiatives across PP’s advocacy and healthcare verticals.
Delivery:
• Create high-quality, on-brand, on-time design deliverables under the direction of creative and design directors in collaboration with operations and project managers
• Deliver innovative design solutions while adhering to brand guidelines
• Embrace nimbleness and flexibility; operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment; address rapid response needs in a timely and attentive manner
• Respect and uphold creative organizational processes; build highly organized creative files, folders, and assets to ensure efficiency and effective collaboration with team members
• Follow and keep current on design trends, media platform requirements, and design software
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously

• Juggle an often large volume of work effectively, balancing tight turnaround projects with long-lead work, ensuring that projects are on track and that teams are aware of project status
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
• BFA, BA, or similar accreditation in Graphic Design and/or Visual Communications
• Minimum of two years of graphic design experience in-house or at a branding, design, advertising or communications agency
• Ability to design for an expansive breadth of deliverables, including social media, merchandise, experiential, web, presentations, print, brand assets (logo marks, icons, and graphic standards), video, and more.
• Experience designing a variety of materials within brand guidelines
• Portfolio demonstrating design excellence, including an exceptional grasp of typography, composition, and color
• Experience and passion in designing for and to accessibility standards
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Slack, and Google Products
• Illustration skills are a plus
• Extremely organized, process-oriented, and proactive; committed to asset organization and processes
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to proactively develop solutions to problems and challenges; comfortable with asking for help and support
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities

Location:
Position location is open to DC or NYC hybrid or telecommuter
Travel: 0-5% domestic
$63,000 - $68,000 a year
Total offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k.
