Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund seeks a Digital Electoral Campaigns Manager. This job reports to the National Director of Digital Content and Campaigns in the Communications and Culture Division of PPFA. The Communications and Culture Division provides information, education, resources, and care in an effort to engage and grow a diverse base of patients, supporters, and political champions. Reporting to the National Director of Digital Content and Campaigns, the Digital Electoral Campaigns Manager thinks strategically and tactically about how Planned Parenthood Votes can use digital and social media to promote its electoral goals in 2020. This person will be responsible for the collaborative design and management of campaign plans and digital materials to be used by both the national and state affiliate organizations. This role will provide advocacy/issue digital campaign planning and tactical support for affiliate/state office 501(c)(4)s and relevant Super PACs through the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes to advance our electoral agenda, including working with vendors and state election teams to oversee development and execution of paid digital plans. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide advocacy/issue digital campaign planning and tactical support for affiliate/state office 501(c)(4)s and relevant Super PACs through the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes to advance our electoral agenda.
    • Work with the National Director, Digital Products team and affiliate/state office 501(c)(4)s and relevant Super PACs through the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and Planned Parenthood Votes to update, support and relaunch the PP Advocacy and Political Organizations’ Voter Guide.
    • Work with vendors and state election teams to oversee development, execution and reporting of paid digital plans.
    • Work with the Digital Content and Campaigns team to help execute on the national digital campaign work that supports our overall electoral goals.
    • Work collaboratively with National Director of Digital Content and Campaigns, Regional Campaign Directors and affiliate staff to set electoral digital campaign goals that support the overall goals for the state to be executed by affiliate and national staff.
    • Provide strategic guidance and technical support to assist affiliates with developing and implementing statewide digital strategies to advance 2020 electoral campaign goals, including identifying, educating, recruiting and mobilizing pro-choice supporters, activists and volunteers in strategically-important states.
    • Work collaboratively with National Director of Digital Content and Campaigns, Digital Products team, OEC Operations support, Regional Campaign Directors and affiliate staff to set electoral digital campaign goals that support the overall goals for the state to be executed by affiliate and national staff.

REQUIREMENTS / TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

    • 3-5 years of substantial digital & social media experience with political, advocacy and/or nonprofit organizations.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
    • Experience developing and implementing online content and strategy for political or legislative campaigns; non-profit advocacy organizations or national organizing campaigns.
    • Experience working on paid advertising campaigns.
    • Experience working with Content Management Systems.
    • Experience developing digital campaign plans (long-term and short-term), that includes mobile campaign work.
