Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an experienced Technology Business Partner.. This job reports to the Senior Director, Business Relationship Management in the Tech Governance domain in the Information Technology (IT) Department of PPFA. The IT department provides technology strategy, operational support and tech delivery /implementation of the information technology products and services while the Information Security program safeguards the data entrusted to Planned Parenthood by its patients, supporters, donors and staff.

Purpose:

The Technology Business Partner's primary responsibility is serving as a trusted liaison between PPFA business partners and our Information Technology & Information Security teams. The Technology Business Partner collaborates with business stakeholders and is the orchestrator and navigator between the business and technology / InfoSec teams. Additionally, this role will focus on championing technology and security best practices across the business to further strengthen the overall security and privacy of PPFA by minimizing technology, brand, and reputational risk. This includes developing a robust understanding of business needs, digital strategy, and having a comprehensive awareness of cross-functional technology initiatives.

●Function as a key point of contact for IT and be an advocate on behalf of business to ensure IT services meet business priorities and needs.
●Ensures Information Security requirements are addressed across the enterprise through the Business Relationship Management function that is inclusive of Business Information Security needs. 
●This role is all about building, nurturing and managing relationships across all levels within the business, especially at senior levels. 
●Has a passion for new technology with a key focus on maximizing the value from our technology solutions. 
●Provides strategic technological insights to ultimately solve business problems.
●Helps define, support and continually improve the tech governance process across PPFA. 

Delivery: 

Foster trusted partnerships and relationships with all PPFA business partners (i.e., Information Technology,Human Resources, Finance, Data Analytics, etc. and all other PPFA teams)
●Engaging with business partners to develop a robust understanding of key business processes, priorities, and portfolios while bringing a security lens to the table 
●Developing and tracking action plans to manage mitigations where necessary by collaborating with InfoSec and IT teams to appropriately raise and address risks in the environment
●Supporting ongoing maintenance of Tech Governance Metrics and dashboard with key project updates and tracking of risks/mitigations 
●Optimize approaches and build consistency for the business relationship management function, ensuring high degree of business partner satisfaction while delivering value to the enterprise. 
●Devise business technology roadmaps and prioritization of demand for tech products and services to address emerging needs.
●Gather and understand business requirements and ideas; consistently translate ideas and requirements into clearly articulated definitions for projects. Concisely documenting business requirements and critically analyzing business processes.
●Help scope and support approved projects. Ensuring they remain on track to meet our requirements, align with strategy and realize the expected value.
●High level Business analysis – compiling and maintaining project documentation such as business specifications (BRD) and  Project Charters.Reviewing Business Requirements Documents for new initiatives and making security/privacy recommendations as needed 
●Designing and recommending enterprise technology and  information security best practices that are scalable and easy to adapt to changing business requirements 
●Ensure that effective communication occurs related to service delivery and project delivery (e.g. planned downtime, changes, open tickets)
●Work with clients to plan and make sure they understand the relevance and impact of IT changes to their operations
●Help scope and support approved projects. Ensuring they remain on track to meet our requirements, align with strategy and realize the expected value.
●Define, agree to, and report on key service metrics. Supporting ongoing maintenance of Tech Governance Metrics and dashboard with key project updates and tracking of risks/mitigations

●Translating technical information into easily understandable information for non-technical audiences including facilitation of risk-based discussions.

●Providing clear, succinct, and well-organized feedback/updates to leaders and key stakeholders ensuring they see the value of technology initiatives, understand security risks, and know the status of ongoing tech projects and tasks.
●Fostering trusted relationships to represent Information Technology and InfoSec teams across the organization
●Manage expectations of multiple business stakeholders. Engage stakeholders across all levels of PPFA National Office on identifying deliverables, timeframes, and expectations regarding IT application planning, support  and service delivery.
●Act as a bridge between IT and the business
●Knowledge of the Business - Understands the main business activities for each department and which tech services are required to complete each business activity
●Advocates for PPFA Business Partners - Tech BPs are invested in client success
○Understands the strategies and plans of the business partners and helps develop an IT strategic plan/roadmap that maps to business strategies
○Advises business partners on understanding tech governance processes
○Helps business partners  to develop proposals and advance them through the project intake and assessment process

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs):
 
●5+ years in role at Management Level in IT, Information Security, program management, or business domain 
●Bachelor’s degree in a relevant business or technology discipline
●A leader who has worked in a business-facing IT organization with demonstrated experience in partnering with business stakeholders
●Experience with information security and privacy processes, strategies, and standards
●Experience with information security frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF
●Proven skills and experience balancing security needs with business requirements
●High level of interpersonal skills to interact with leaders at multiple levels and facilitate collaborative interactions to achieve desired outcomes
●Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is desired, but not required, with relevant security or technology work experience. Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and proven ability to foster an agile culture.
●Experience collaborating with Senior level Management
●BRM and/or ITSM certification preferred
●Extremely organized, process-oriented, and a self-starter who works well in a fast-paced environment.
●Ability to proactively develop solutions to problems and challenges in your project management and know when to ask for help and support. 
●Strong oral and written communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, effective partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to work effectively across difference, soliciting feedback and input from significant stakeholder groups. 
●High proficiency in Google products

●Demonstrated knowledge of strategic use of technology to optimize business objectives

●Proven experience conducting business analysis and soliciting, understanding, and verifying business requirements

Travel: 0-10%, as needed 

$115,000 - $125,000 a year
