Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. Planned Parenthood Action Fund is an independent, nonpartisan, not-for-profit membership organization formed as the advocacy and political arm of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The Action Fund engages in educational, advocacy, and electoral activity, including grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy, and voter education.
Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and Planned Parenthood Action Fund (PPAF) seek an experienced and engaging workplace culture and employee engagement professional to join our dynamic People, Culture & Equity Team! This leader will work collaboratively within the People, Culture & Equity division to support the workplace culture and employee experience needs of Planned Parenthood affiliates across the nation.
This job reports to the Associate Director, Employee Experience in the People, Culture & Equity (PCE) Division of PPFA. PCE is a critical partner to the federation focused on delivering a progressive people agenda that attracts, develops, and retains top talent. Purpose:
The Manager, Employee Experience will co-own and co-facilitate the portfolio of offerings, including both synchronous and asynchronous learning products, pre-recorded learning supports, sustainability products and playbooks for best practices linked to Planned Parenthood’s In This Together Ethos, Values, Service Standards and Service Recovery Model. This role will support the delivery of several priorities directly tied to PPFA’s strategic plan, develop employee engagement tools & solutions, and collaborate with the national office and affiliate colleagues.
Engagement:
PCE Division, Affiliate leaders and staff, Vendors/Contractors
●Collaborates with Associate Director, Employee Experience, to maintain and deliver In This Together portfolio.
●Partners with key stakeholders to champion a Great Place to Work for All.
●Build strong relationships across the federation and in particular with the People, Experience and Development Team, PP Affiliate People & Culture Leaders and affiliate staff.
●Serves as relationship manager with Employee Experience vendors.
●Participates in professional associations related to talent development, employee experience, and performance improvement.
Delivery:
The Manager of Employee Experience will:
●Work closely with the People, Culture and Equity team to develop innovative Employee Engagement solutions specifically to support employee well-being, minimize burnout and ensure all colleagues feel valued, seen and heard
●Provide support to projects led by Associate Director, Employee Experience
●Demonstrate commitment to and embodiment of gender, racial, and reproductive justice values and demonstrate the ability to apply those values to employee engagement learning solutions
●Model a commitment to the In This Together (ITT) ethos by building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the National Office and being seen as a best practice expert in ITT
●Support the continued iteration of the In This Together Cultural Ethos learning suite by applying best practices for adult learning and driving engagement with modern learning products, both instructor-led and e-learning
●Conduct industry research to stay abreast of trends in measuring, monitoring and improving employee experience
●Regularly audit and modify the learning products available to National Office and Affiliate audiences through the CAL (LMS), the Intranet and the 360Learning platform.
●Support the survey, development and creation of a team of engaged and skilled Employee Experience Ambassadors in collaboration with the Employee Engagement Associate Director
●Maintain expertise in the delivery of and facilitation of the In This Together learning products to act as a coach and support to affiliate Employee Experience partners
●Support the Associate Director and the PCE division in the integration of In This Together into the Employee Life Cycle at the National Office by providing learning, sustainability tools and additional material when needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
●Minimum of 5 years of experience in People & Culture (HR), Education or related field
●Working knowledge of Employee Engagement concepts and practices
●Demonstrated experience in training, instructional design, employee engagement coaching, and consultation
●Strong visual design skills and comfort with various presentation tools (i.e., PowerPoint, Canva, Excel)
●Demonstrated ability to apply Instructional Design Methodology (i.e., ADDIE) and Adult Learning Principles
●Understanding of Human-Centered Design and social justice frameworks that prioritize the voices of marginalized community members
●Experienced with Project Coordination and Project Management and experience using tools (i.e., Microsoft Project, Asana)
●Experienced facilitator (i.e., understands the difference between presentation and facilitation)
●Strong customer service orientation
●Ability to create, update, and facilitate lesson plans, training sessions, and presentations
Ability to:

Travel: 0-40%, domestically
$81,000 - $88,000 a year
Total offer package to include generous vacation + sick leave + paid holidays, individual/family provided medical, dental and vision benefits effective day 1, life insurance, short/long term disability, paid family leave and 401k.
