When you join PPGNY as the Director of Equitable Systems, you will manage PPGNY’s Equity Core Team, including co-creating and supporting implementation of equity strategies across all functional areas. This role is based out of New York and will be commutable to the Hudson Valley area and up or as far as Ithaca.
The ideal candidate can reside in these areas: Mid-Hudson Valley, Central New York, Southern Finger Lakes, North Country, and Capital District.

What the Director, Equitable Systems does:

    •  Hold accountability of development and delivery of equitable systems programming, projects, and initiatives in collaboration with Manager and Senior Director, Equitable Systems.
    • Design and implement systems interventions and infrastructure development projects, including co-creating and supporting implementation of equity strategies across all functional areas, to improve health- and institutional-equity.  
    • Work closely with Clinical stakeholders to embed equity in service delivery and clinical practice through concrete skill-building, operational/policy review and ongoing coaching support.
    • Manage stakeholder partnerships that support institutional learning and accountability, including providing coaching related to operationalizing equity in all departments and work functions.
    • Partner with other Equity and Learning staff to develop content and curriculum for facilitated learning and accountability dialogues across PPGNY.
    • Develop and maintain Equity and Learning’s internal data infrastructure, including assisting with creation of dashboards, assessments, databases, and reporting tools in collaboration with Manager, Equitable Systems.
    • Collaborate with Clinical Leadership and other key internal players to analyze patient experience data with a race equity lens and implement service improvement interventions.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's’ Degree
    • A demonstrated commitment to PPGNY’s mission related to bodily autonomy, health equity, and gender and racial justice.
    • 7-10 years of work experience in operations, organizational development, or culture change initiatives (or similar), or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • At least three years progressive leadership experience, including at least one year in a management role, with significant responsibility for a team or area of work. 

Preferred Qualifications:

    • Clinical healthcare operations and/or quality improvement experience highly desired
    • Work experience in women’s reproductive health care/sexuality or public health
    • Experience with strategy development and/or strategic planning

Compensation

    • $72,000-82,000

All positions at PPGNY require:
Proof of immunization or immunity to certain communicable diseases (including influenza during the flu season and Covid-19) and testing for tuberculosis. These certifications are required by the NYC DOHMH Health Code, NYSDOH and OSHA.
