Planned Parenthood of Greater Washington and North Idaho seeks an energetic and versatile Health Care Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist. The Health Care Assistant is the first point of contact for patients and create the first impression of the medical office. The HCA is an expert at providing excellent internal and external customer service and exhibit exceptional communication skills. Duties include patients check-in and check-out with attention to detail throughout the process; verify insurance eligibility, collect co-pays, providing information, materials and supplies. Must be self-motivated; demonstrate a responsible work ethic and reliability. This position will exemplify our mission, Work Place Values and Service Standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Expedite and expand the client experience, take direction to complete tasks assigned.
    • Explain all PPGWNI funding sources, services and ask for client donations.
    • Efficiently verify details throughout the check-in and check-out process.
    • Accurately post charges and handle payments

REQUIREMENTS/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

    • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
    • Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal management skills.
    • Flexibility in work schedule is required, including working early mornings, evenings and Saturdays.
    • Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems.
    • 1 -3 year experience preferred.
    • Valid unencumbered driver's license, proof of insurance and personal vehicle required.
    • Travel to other PPGWNI health centers as needed to support the duties.
