Paralegal II

Purpose Statement:
The Paralegal II will assist in-house general counsel by providing administrative and research support services including document preparation and review, research, drafting memos, and maintaining the contract management system.

Essential Functions:
1. Meets with attorney(s) and other professionals to discuss assigned cases and projects.
2. Drafts legal documents including contracts, memorandums of understanding, and others.
3. Reviews vendor contracts and other documents for proper terms; makes recommendations to attorney.
4. Researches and analyzes statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; provides written analysis to attorneys.
5. Keeping track of changes in the legal framework and providing timely updates on these changes.
6. Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, exhibits, and maintains other substantive legal information files.
7. Enters information for new contracts and maintains the contract management system.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related legal field preferred.
• Minimum of three years working as a paralegal required.
• Healthcare familiarity is desirable.
