Planned Parenthood Keystone (PPKey) serves 37 counties in Pennsylvania, home to over half of Pennsylvania residents. We have administrative offices in the Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg, Warminster, and York. We operate 8 medical centers that serve over 30,000 patients annually and offer comprehensive sexuality education that reaches thousands of young adults.

Planned Parenthood Keystone is looking for a Full-time, exempt Regional Health Center Manager for our York and Harrisburg Medical Centers. The Health Center Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of two busy reproductive health centers.

Responsibilities Include:

    • Become trained in and maintain knowledge of all health center services and systems to effectively supervise health center staff training & development in the provision of family planning, all FDA approved birth control methods, STD prevention and treatment, HIV testing, and abortion care.
    • Travel between both assigned centers regularly on a weekly basis and as assigned. 
    • Contribute onsite center leadership to foster positive attitudes and trust among staff in accomplishing the goals and objectives of the affiliate.
    • Provide operational support, mentoring and training to all staff who work in the medical center. 
    • Participate in the quality/risk management process for medical protocols, regulatory agency compliance, HR policies, and workplace safety policies.
    • Perform basic performance management tasks with medical center team members 
    • Collaborate with the Medical Center and Patient Services team to meet patient needs as well as individual and center productivity levels and patient cycle times.
    • Compliance with our system of patient care called Throughput (TP), as well as understanding its priorities, strategies, and Team Centered Patient Care (TCPC) components is required. 
    • Assure timely completion of practice management system data corrections and timely delivery of all health center reports.  
    • Supervise inventory control including keeping records, stocking, and ordering supplies, and assuring appropriate levels of materials.
    • Respond to after-hours maintenance and security emergencies as required.  
    • Maintain a satisfactory facility appearance and optimal functioning of equipment.
    • Work Patient Service Admin and the VP of People and culture on the hiring and evaluation of all Medical Center staff for assigned centers. 
    • Hold monthly center staff meetings. Participate in medical, management, & organizational meetings as required. 
    • Oversee the completion of comprehensive and accurate medical records for every patient to ensure adequate patient care. 
    • Provide factual, non-biased information to clients seeking abortion.  Describe the difference between medication and surgical abortion
    • Competently use the patient information system software in all of its applications on affiliate laptops for optimal center flow
    • Ensure a culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion of all persons 
    • Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations
    • Support fundraising efforts in the center
    • Support center volunteers and their contributions as appropriate
    • Maintain current CPR certification as needed
    • Serve as an Ambassador for the organization to inspire support and connection with the mission and services provided by the affiliate
    • Represent the affiliate locally with community agencies, hospitals, schools, coalitions, donors, and public officials

Qualifications & Experience:

    • Required:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent experience
    • Reliable means of transportation
    • Ability and willingness to travel between York and Harrisburg centers. Reimbursement for mileage will be provided
    • Demonstrated leadership ability
    • Computer literacy, including competency in affiliate email, Internet, and patient management systems software, if applicable to job
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that enable work in a collaborative and multi-faceted team environment
    • Ability to mentor individuals and lead a team
    • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
    • Ability to organize, multi-task and effectively function in a fast paced environment to set and achieve short and long term goals
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, early morning, and/or evening hours
    • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

    • Preferred:
    • 3+ years of experience with progressive responsibility in the health care industry(ies), preferably with Planned Parenthood
    • Spanish language skills desirable

Salary and Benefits:

    • Compensation for this position starts at $60,000 annually
