Our doors are open, and we are still providing care.

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM) has a simple mission: Care. No Matter What.
For over 90 years, PPLM has been a trusted leader in sexual and reproductive health. We believe that everyone—no matter who they are, where they live, or who they love—deserves access to high-quality, compassionate care. As the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services, we educate families, empower youth, and advocate for health equity across communities.

Now, we’re looking for a Gift Processor to join our passionate Development team and help power this mission forward.

💼 About the Role
As Gift Processor, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero ensuring that every donation—whether it’s a tribute gift, a recurring contribution, or a one-time show of support—is processed with care, accuracy, and gratitude. You’ll help maintain the integrity of our donor records, support audit processes, and ensure that every act of generosity is acknowledged in a timely and meaningful way.

This is more than a data entry job—it’s a chance to be part of a movement for health, equity, and justice.

🔍 What You’ll Do

    • Accurately enter and process over 100,000 annual donations using Raiser’s Edge.
    • Handle a variety of gift types including checks, credit cards, online gifts, payroll deductions, and more.
    • Collaborate with Finance and Development teams to ensure accurate gift allocation and reporting.
    • Generate and send acknowledgment letters and tribute cards.
    • Maintain donor records and documentation for audits and internal reporting.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for donor inquiries.
    • Stay current on best practices in gift processing and charitable receipting.

✅ What You Bring

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 1–2 years of experience in gift processing, data entry, or nonprofit administration.
    • Familiarity with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
    • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Willingness to work occasional evenings.

💡 What Sets You Apart

    • A demonstrated ability to work with people of all races, ethnicities, sexual and gender identities and expressions, ages, abilities, and experiences.
    • A commitment to addressing the impact of racism and other oppressions on sexual health.
    • A deep alignment with PPLM’s mission—and the ability to communicate that passion to others.
    • A collaborative spirit and a sense of humor that brings light to even the busiest days.

PPLM is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and an equal opportunity employer that values a diverse workforce and a culture of inclusivity and belonging. Equity, diversity, and inclusion are core values at PPLM and a chance for us to make long-term, meaningful change.

To authentically address health equity in communities across Massachusetts, we must start with ourselves. We are taking focused steps to make progress within our organization and are committed to building an equity practice in all aspects of our work—one that reflects our patients and embodies cultural humility.

We believe that communities most impacted by health inequities must be centered in the work we do. Therefore, we strongly encourage applications from Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous people of color, Trans and gender non-conforming people, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, and working-class people for all our positions.

Equal employment opportunity and having a diverse staff are fundamental principles at PPLM.
