Care. No matter what:
PPLM has been a leader in promoting sexual health for more than 90 years.  We believe that all people deserve the information and expert services to make informed, personal decisions that affect their health, their lives and their futures.  We are the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services. We educate families and empower youth to make responsible choices that lead to healthier lives.  We advocate for policies that improve sexual health.

Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion:
PPLM believes sexual health is essential to every person’s overall health, well-being and happiness. We recognize that geographical and systemic barriers entrenched in discrimination and stigma prevent people in Massachusetts from having equitable opportunity to choose their own path and access to sexual and reproductive health care. In order to address health equity in communities across Massachusetts in an authentic way, we must start with ourselves. We are taking focused steps to make progress in our own organization. We have embarked on a diversity, equity and inclusion journey that will lead us toward becoming an organization that better reflects our patients and embodies cultural humility. We are wholeheartedly committed to this work.

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts seeks a leader to support and grow the ASPIRE (Advancing Science and Practice through Innovations in Research and Education) Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health (“ASPIRE”). ASPIRE is an innovative, high-impact research and training center that launched in 2022 to bring together PPLM's nationally recognized research, clinical training, and professional education programs to create powerful synergies and multiply PPLM's impact. ASPIRE’s vision is to advance excellence and equity in sexual and reproductive health care, access, training, and education nationwide.

ASPIRE is seeking a Director with the experience, leadership skills, and passion to amplify PPLM’s content experts’ vision in the fields of research, professional education, and clinical training.

The Director of the ASPIRE Center will ensure that ASPIRE realizes its vision as well as provides leadership to advance the strategic intersection of its three core elements (research, clinical training, and professional education) through the lens of health equity. ASPIRE works with a broad range of partners, including academic institutions, teaching hospitals, health care professionals, social service and community-based organizations, schools, educators, and peer institutions, to create powerful synergies, offer new cross-sector trainings, and multiply PPLM's impact nationally.

The Director will report to PPLM’s Chief External Affairs Officer and will work closely with the Vice President of Research and Clinical Training; the Vice President of Education, Learning & Engagement; and the Director of Social Science Research. The Director’s primary role will be to understand, integrate, and amplify our content experts’ vision, to strengthen our existing programs and initiatives, support ASPIRE’s growth and manage ASPIRE’s operations within PPLM. Though familiarity with the field is helpful, the Director is not expected to be a content expert.
