Care. No matter what: PPLM has been a leader in promoting sexual health for more than 90 years.  We believe that all people deserve the information and expert services to make informed, personal decisions that affect their health, their lives and their futures.  We are the state’s leading provider of sexual and reproductive health services. We educate families and empower youth to make responsible choices that lead to healthier lives.  We advocate for policies that improve sexual health.

The Get Real Educator is responsible for facilitating the Get Real Teen Council (GRTC) program in the Central Massachusetts area and supporting the implementation of the Get Real curriculum in schools and after school settings in accordance with the ASE grant, as needed. The Get Real Teen Council is a year-long program for high school aged young people in the Central MA area. The program empowers teenagers to educate their peers, families, and communities about human sexuality and healthy decision making and inspires teens to use their voices to advocate for just and positive sexual attitudes and policies. As such, the Get Real Educator guides Get Real Teen Council members in developing and mastering presentation skills and sexual and reproductive health knowledge, and supports them in spreading knowledge to their peers through workshops and informal educational conversations with people in their lives. The Get Real Educator is also responsible for helping to build a continuing collaboration between Youth Education, Community Outreach, External Affairs, and the health centers in order to enhance the external presence of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts’ education and health services programs. They also work to build and maintain relationships with local schools, after-school programs, and educational community partners through GRTC workshops, Get Real High School programming, and associated programming.
