We are actively seeking an Elections and Community Outreach Manager to manage our incredible team of Community Organizers and Outreach Specialists as well as our electoral program.
Reporting to the Director of Public Affairs, the Elections and Community Outreach Manager will be a strategic partner and powerful voice for PPLM by developing and fostering relationships with community partners while also overseeing a diverse set of community groups.

Responsibilities Include (But Not Limited To):
- Manage electoral program, including state and municipal endorsements, field programs, and voter engagement efforts such as canvassing, phone banking, and digital organizing.
- Oversee community programs like the Patient Advocacy Program/Speakers Bureau, Black Organizing Program, Youth Organizing (Generation Action) Program, Latinx Organizing (Raíz) Program, and State Fights (PACE) Program. Responsible for grant proposals, workplans, goal setting, metric tracking, budgets, and reports to external funders.
- Supervise the Community Organizers and Outreach Specialists to structure and set goals for outreach and organizing programs statewide.
- Develop relationships with community partners to provide information about PPLM’s services and strategize collaboration opportunities.
- Manage coalition partner engagement and volunteer mobilization with regional organizers to further PPAF’s legislative and electoral goals, working closely with the Communications and Marketing team.
- Oversee volunteer and programmatic data for PPAF and serve as the affiliate data manager.
- Collaborate with Health Services and External Affairs to identify cross-departmental outreach opportunities, including referral partnerships, off-site care delivery models like telehealth and contraceptive access points, memoranda of understanding with colleges and universities, and cross-provider referral systems.
- Travel to PPLM including Boston, Worcester, and Springfield Health Centers, as well as community outreach sites as needed.
- Occasional evenings and weekend hours required.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in political, nonprofit, or community organizing.
- BA/BS preferred.
- Experience in political or issue-based campaigns (2-3 cycles preferred).
- Skilled in recruiting and training volunteers.
- Demonstrated program management skills, including budget and grant management and reporting.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Experience working with intergenerational, multicultural, and multiracial groups, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people with disabilities.
- Understanding of institutional and structural racism and their impact on underserved communities; lived experience preferred.
- Prior experience and knowledge of sexual & reproductive health and rights.
- Access to car; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to workshops, meetings, and training sites.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications
- Ability to work independently while committed to a team approach.
- Spanish language skills (written and spoken) a plus.
$75,000 - $90,000 a year
Based off of 37.5 hours per week

Roles that are denoted as Hybrid require 1 day per week in the office unless the role is denoted as onsite, which requires working onsite full time or 5 days per week.
