TITLE: Facilities Manager
LOCATION: Remote within Michigan due to travel required to health centers
TRAVEL: Approximately 30%
REPORTS TO: Director of Safety, Security, and Facilities
PAY RATE: $65,000 per year
 
Planned Parenthood of Michigan has implemented a mandatory vaccination policy requiring COVID-19 vaccinations including boosters when eligible for all employees.
 
 
POSITION PURPOSE: Assist the Director of Safety, Security, and Facilities with facilities-related tasks by providing support in the planning and implementation of facility maintenance for all sites with Planned Parenthood of Michigan (PPMI) in accordance with the organization’s annual and strategic plans, policies, and budget. This staff person will fully embody a commitment to race equity; evidenced in all interactions with PPMI colleagues and external stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
◉   Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
◉   Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
◉   Efficient with Windows 365 and strong computer competency.
◉   Demonstrated ability to achieve objectives in collaboration with other functional areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Facilities Management
·       Oversee the work of the facility management vendor(s) and partner with health center managers to ensure facility needs are completed within budget and expected time frames.  
·       Provide Project Management support for building renovations, capital projects, and relocation projects.
·       Manage the logistics associated with the start-up of new sites or the shut-down of existing sites.
·       Assist with maintaining PPMI’s space (office, clinic, storage, etc.) needs and capacity, and make recommendations as appropriate.
·       Coordinate all required site inspections and preventive maintenance (HVAC, sprinkler, fire, etc.) and track all work in an organized manner.
·       Help maintain buildings, facilities, and health centers with duties including but not limited to light maintenance of the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, groundskeeping, and indoor and outdoor building repairs and ability to ascertain when certified professionals are required and source vendors when necessary to complete the task.
·       Demonstrates a commitment to race equity. Maintains current knowledge of PPMI’s work toward enhanced race equity standards, is held accountable to them, and holds their team members accountable.

Compliance 
·       Maintains current knowledge of federal, state, laws, and regulations.
·       Ensure PPMI compliance with relevant PPFA requirements.
 
Internal Customer Service 
·       Provides customer-centric service to internal clients in alignment with Planned Parenthood’s In This Together values and service standards. 
·       Support Director of Safety, Security, and Facilities in collaboration with finance leadership to develop and maintain budgets for facility maintenance, repair and renovations, and security initiatives.
