Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full time (37.5hrs/wk) Lead Patient Accounts Associate position based out of Colchester, VT. This position is responsible for optimizing & ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement from third-party payers as well as other assigned duties associated with the revenue cycle processes.  Additionally, this position serves as the primary resource for training and supporting patient accounts staff through their daily tasks.
 
Primary responsibilities include providing cross coverage and training for a variety of patient accounts functions to include both medical and pharmacy daily revenue cycle tasks. This includes but is not limited to: data entry of charges to be billed to third party payers using appropriate medical coding, preparing, correcting & submitting insurance claims as well as posting insurance & patient payments or denials into the electronic practice management system. Other responsibilities include identifying and following-up on outstanding accounts receivable, timely research & response to patients’ questions/concerns and serving as a resource for difficult customer billing issues, and assisting in creating monthly reports on key performance metrics.
 
Qualifications include 3-5 year(s) experience with standard insurance billing practices, medical charge entry, payment entry & accounts receivable follow up in an electronic practice management system as well as demonstrated general knowledge of medical billing, medical terminology and working with CPT and ICD10 codes. Proven success in either a training or leadership role, as well experience with Excel preferred.
