Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund is seeking interns to fill a part-time, unpaid 
Political Affairs Internship (can be used for course credit) out of our Concord, NH office. The 
intern would train under Planned Parenthood New Hampshire Action Fund’s senior organizing staff 
while working on PPNHAF endorsed political campaigns, conducting political research, and organizing 
outreach activities. This is an excellent opportunity to learn how political advocacy is performed 
throughout New Hampshire while acquiring significant communication and leadership experience.  This 
internship is ideal for candidates interested in women’s issues and the political process, or for 
those pursuing a career in
non-profit agencies, politics, public policy, public affairs, government relations, community 
outreach, or marketing.
CHARACTERISTIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
●   Develop and organize political advocacy materials
●   Monitor statewide political activities
●   Conduct online research to support the goals of PPNHAF
●   Database management and other administrative duties
●   Research news reports and studies
●   Maintain news database and reports
●   Draft fact sheets, internal updates, blog posts, and action alerts
●   Prepare support materials for grassroots initiatives and events
●   Assist in organizing supporters for grassroots initiatives and events
●   Other communication and public affairs responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
●   An interest in reproductive health care, women’s issues, and politics
●   Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint required
●   Must be able to communicate to the public about PPNHAF’s mission, goals, and services
●   Reliable and self-motivated
●   Advanced writing skills required
●   Excellent project management and organizational skills
●   Flexibility, initiative, creative thinking, and a willingness to learn required
●   Some night and weekend hours required
●   Must be able to travel to PPNHAF’s Concord office at 18 Low Avenue at least once a week.
Interns are required to commit to an average of 10-15 hours per week.
