The PPRO TechOps team is expanding and we’re looking for a Technical Operations Monitoring administrator in Munich who is willing to embrace change, while always pushing to raise the bar. This role is dynamic in nature and no two days are alike. In this role you will be hands-on building and maintaining our monitoring and alerting systems, and actively monitor our production systems. Automation is key, and you will be continuously driving improvement by identifying new monitoring needs, implementing/automating them yourself, or work with our in-house development teams to make changes to our production software in order to facilitate this monitoring improvements. As our TechOps monitoring POC, you will also coordinate with the rest of the team that system configuration changes are made to remove irregularities detected by our monitoring system.

As The TechOps Monitoring Admin You Will:

Continuously improve our end-to-end production monitoring solutionsDesign new monitoring systems & improve existing solutionsBuilding your own solutions on system-admin level with AWS, Docker, etcWrite your own code for automation and implementation of software & scriptsDirectly work together with our software engineering teams to implement monitoring changes into our production softwareBe responsible to design, setup, and document our 24/7 oncall system and other monitoring/alerting proceduresActively monitor our production, search for abnormalities, and troubleshoot root causes

Who You Are:

Able to communicate in fluent English to other internal departments and suppliers, and able to transfer knowledge and understanding to less technical people about technical subjectsHigh attention to detail, question everythingYou have a wide technical knowledge, ranging from sysadmin Linux to Windows, from creating Scripts/Software to pulling complex Database queries, from understanding how bare metal hardware works to an understanding of Docker swarms in the cloud (AWS)You have a proven track record of expertise  in some of the below key technologies, and enough knowledge about the other technologies mentioned in order to understand which possible solutions are realistically applicable

Generic AWS infrastructure setup & maintenance skills
Linux, MacOS

Monitoring & Alerting structures:
Google SRE theory & practice
Understanding of OS system Metrics
Experienced in creating metric Formulae
Full stack end-to-end OpenTracing

Software development:
Web: (HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript)

Automation & Application development:
(Python, C++ )SysAdmin automation: (Bash, Node ) 

Networking:
Generic networking knowledge (peering, routing, monitoring, troubleshooting)
