What's interesting about this job?   
The Community Organizer conducts grassroots organizing activities that engage supporters and build relationships in their assigned area. They provide key support to PPSAT to the Action Fund, particularly around volunteer activities in targeted political candidate and issue-based campaigns helping to elect champions of sexual and reproductive healthcare.   
Who you are:  
Passionate activist/volunteer for reproductive justice 
Fiercely pro-choice! 
Experienced with grassroots organizing campaigns (2 years) 
Connected & knowledgeable on working with BPOC communities; bonus points for HBCU experience/connections 
Talented interpersonal communicator, capable of engaging and developing relationships with anyone 
Outgoing leader, with cross-cultural mindfulness 
What you'll do: 
Grassroots organizing  
Train volunteers & community activists 
Execute rapid response events (including rallies or lobby days!) 
Canvassing, voter engagement, phone banking, etc. 
Develop leadership & connections with local student groups  
Develop relationships with BIPOC communities; identify needs/opportunities  
Interact with state legislature 
Digital Organizing 
Recruit & Supervise Community Organizing Associates 

Flexible Schedule:  
Full-time position working 40 hours per week. Hours are typically Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM working remotely or on-site.  This position requires occasional night and weekend work.

Starting salary for this position $22.05 per hour.  Starting offers are determined by both the candidate's experience and internal equity within the pay grade. PPSAT's compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Built from data driven compensation studies, our positions are placed within a developed pay grade.
