PPSAT is hiring a Health Care Assistant with excellent customer service and communication skills to work in our Chapel Hill, NC health center. The HCAs are an essential part of the PPSAT healthcare team providing comprehensive health education and direct patient care.  As an HCA, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of health care services to a diverse patient population. You will be expected to work with scheduling, intake, patient education, phlebotomy, and assisting with medical care under the supervision of the licensed providers. As an essential member of the team, you will provide excellent customer service in a non-judgmental, empathetic manner to our patients. PPSAT team members participate in a team approach to patient care and embrace the service philosophy of our affiliate’s “In This Together” values. 

This is a Full-Time opportunity, working 40 hours/week.

Tues: 8:30 am - 4:00 PM
Wed: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Thur: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Fri: 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM
Sat: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Health Care Assistant - $17.00 per hour 

The HCA Tier Program intends to maintain and promote internal equity, transparency, and skill growth. All HCA's start at a non-negotiable $17.00 an hour, and are eligible for periodic pay-increases based on tenure and skill check-offs.

PPSAT’s compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Built from data driven compensation studies, our positions are placed within a developed pay grade structure. 

General Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to empathize with people of all backgrounds and identities.
Must be able to read, comprehend, input, retrieve and analyze data daily. 

Preferred Experience:
Primary care/family medicine
Women’s health/reproductive health
