PPSAT is seeking a part-time Education and Outreach Assistant to join the Education Team in Fayetteville, NC. The Education and Outreach Education Assistant is responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating, and implementing PPSAT’s community education programs. They will provide additional outreach and training to the community around family planning and reproductive health issues as needed. 

The Education and Outreach Assistant will initiate and develop relationships with community organizations, develop Evidence Based curriculum with additional sessions around contraception, health relationships, and STIs with adolescent pregnancy prevention messages, assist and conduct weekly trainings, and assist in programming with teen males.

20 hours a week Monday-Friday. Some night and weekend work may be required.

This position’s minimum pay rate is $16.75 per hour.  Starting offers are determined by both the candidate’s experience and internal equity within the assigned pay grade. 

PPSAT’s compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Built from data driven compensation studies, our positions are placed within a developed pay grade structure.

High School degree or equivalent required
At least one year of experience working with youth
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated interest in teenagers and youth development
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities
Interest in reproductive and sexual health issues.
Experience in coalition-building

Preferred Experience:
B.S./B.A. in related field
Previous experience in Public Health
Fluency in Spanish
