PPSAT is hiring a Health Care Assistant with excellent customer service and communication skills to work in our Roanoke, VA health center. HCA’s support the flow of clinic by providing excellent customer service to our patients from front desk check-in and check-out to preparing patients for their visit with our medical providers.

Medical assistants will be expected to perform a variety of clinical tasks including intake, vitals, sterilization, scheduling appointment, and more!

This is a full-time opportunity, working 35 hours/week.

Monday - 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday - 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Thursday - 10:30 am- 7:00 pm
Friday/Saturday - 7:30 am- 3:00 pm (Alternates)

Full time employees (working 30 or more hours/week) are eligible for full benefits!

Health Care Assistants - start at non-negotiable $17.00/hour
The HCA Tier Program intends to maintain and promote internal equity, transparency, and skill growth. All HCA's start at a non-negotiable $17.00 an hour, and are eligible for periodic pay-increases based on tenure and skill check-offs.

PPSAT’s compensation philosophy is based in equity and transparency. Built from data driven compensation studies, our positions are placed within a developed pay grade structure. This position’s minimum pay rate are determined by both the candidate’s experience and internal equity within the assigned pay grade.

General Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to empathize with people of all backgrounds and identities.
Must be able to read, comprehend, input, retrieve and analyze data daily. 

Preferred Experience:
Primary care/family medicine
Women’s health/reproductive health
