JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager

SALARY RANGE: 90 - 100k
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

SUMMARY
Planned Parenthood Southeast is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager with expertise in employee relations and coaching to join our team. The Human Resource Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment, managing employee relations issues, and providing coaching and support to staff and managers. This position reports to the VP of Human Resources and works collaboratively with leadership and staff across the organization.

Employee Relations:
● Serve as a trusted resource and advisor to employees and managers on a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
● Conduct investigations into employee complaints or concerns, and recommend appropriate actions in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
● Develop and implement strategies to promote positive employee relations and a respectful workplace culture.

Coaching and Development:
● Provide coaching and support to managers on effective leadership practices, performance management, conflict resolutions and employee development.
● Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs, and develop and deliver training programs as needed.
● Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and feedback mechanisms.

Policy Development and Compliance:
● Collaborate with the VP of People & Culture to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
● Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations, and update policies and procedures as needed to ensure compliance.
● Conduct training sessions for staff and managers on HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Performance Management:
● Lead the design, implementation, and communication of the annual performance review process.
● Partner with managers to ensure timely goal setting, feedback, and professional development planning.
● Support corrective action processes, documenting and ensuring consistency and fairness.

Talent Management:
● Support talent acquisition efforts including job description development, interview coordination, and onboarding processes.
● Develop and implement retention strategies, succession planning, and career pathing initiatives.
● Maintain HR data systems with employee information, supporting analysis and reporting as needed.

Employee Engagement and Wellness:
● Develop and implement initiatives to promote employee engagement, morale, and wellness.
● Coordinate employee recognition programs and events to celebrate achievements and foster a positive work culture.
● Collaborate with the Director of Human Resources and other stakeholders to address employee feedback and concerns.

HR Administration:
● Oversee HR administration functions, including employee onboarding, offboarding, and recordkeeping.
● Manage employee benefits programs, including enrollment, administration, and communication.
● Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and related HR transactions.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
● Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations and coaching.
● Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in a practical setting.
● Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with employees and managers at all levels.
● Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
● Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to navigate complex employee relations issues.
● Experience working in healthcare or non-profit organizations preferred.

Languages Spoken
● English required, some Spanish speaking skills preferred.
