This position is dependent upon grant funding, if the funding is not renewed in any given year, the position would be eliminated at the end of September.

Remote, must reside in or near county.

POSITION GOAL: This position is responsible for creating and coordinating youth/young adult, peer education, and parent/caregiver programs on sexual health and family planning in the community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ACCOUNTABILITY

    • Assist in the creation and writing of grant proposal components to include project narrative description, logic model, letters of support, partner memorandum of agreements, and project budget.
    • Assist in writing proposal drafts and reports to private and public funders (foundations, federal and local government funders).
    • Implement and facilitate youth and parent programs on sexual health, family planning, and youth development. Develop/design appropriate materials and displays.
    • Represents Planned Parenthood at health fairs and community events providing information on available education and services.
    • Contribute written materials for presentations for affiliate-wide activities for data trends, landscape on teen pregnancy, sexuality, contraception, HIV/AIDS, and family planning.
    • Responsible for contract goals for specific projects developed via special funding/grants.
    • Assist in educational in-services activities for affiliate staff and volunteers.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

    • Bachelor’s level degree preferred from an accredited college or university and/or comparable training and job experience.  
    • Proposal development experience.
    • Bilingual in English and Creole preferred.
    • Previous public speaking experience.  
    • Strong writing skills required.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.  
    • Valid State driver’s license

BENEFITS AND COMPENSATIONS

    • Hourly compensation range: Starting at $41,000.00/year
    • Eligible for all applicable benefits effective the first of the month following 60 days from your hire date.
    • Paid Time Off, accrues immediately but can't be taken until after 90 full days of employment : 3 weeks of paid time off, 10 recognized Holidays in addition to PTO, 1 personal day, and birthday.
