Position Summary: In support of Planned Parenthood of Southern New England’s mission, the Director of Equity & Organizational Culture (EOC) in partnership with the Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer(CDIO) is responsible for the direction and development of PPSNE’s equity and inclusion training implementation and its leadership and internal professional development program.

Essential Functions:
o   Provides leadership and consultation at all levels of the organization to overcome barriers and identify and implement policies that advance the work and meet goals
o   Partners with training specialists, and external partners when applicable, to develop and implement training and resource development across the organization to promote cultural humility - including racial equity and LGBTQ inclusivity
o   Trains internally and externally as appropriate on topics such as diversity and inclusion, racial equity, LGBTQ inclusivity, customer service, and leadership and management topics such as giving feedback, change management, etc
o   Cultivates and maintains effective partnerships with diverse external organizations, other relevant organizations, thought leaders, partners and vendors in order to inform the agency’s strategy for equity work and other diversity and inclusion objectives
o   Supports the development of processes and systems to evaluate and measure the impact of equity and inclusion work. Gathers and analyzes data as needed and prepares reports – including an annual, comprehensive report
o   Develops and implements leadership pathways and professional development opportunities for all staff
o   Partners with CDIO and Senior Director of HR to develop and implement customer service, on-boarding, and employee engagement initiatives
o   Develops strategy and training plan for all staff personal development
o   Collaboratively leads with the EOC team in establishing, implementing and monitoring agency-wide equity and organizational culture goals, strategies
o   Partners closely with clinical services and Director of Clinical Training to ensure professional development of health center staff

o   Passionate commitment to the mission, vision and values of PPSNE
o   Demonstrated commitment and passion for equity, diversity and inclusion issues through research, activism, or project development.  Significant knowledge about current trends, issues and policies about equity, diversity and inclusion
o   Excellent cross-cultural communication skills (verbal and written)
o   Strong training skills both in person and in virtual settings
o   Experience implementing equity and inclusion programs and change initiatives
o   Bachelors’ degree preferred
