What you'll be doing:
Registered Nurse to provide telephone triage to patients through the Centralized Follow-Up department. The Triage Nurse is responsible for answering questions from patients about lab results STIs, contraception, following up on abnormal lab results and referrals. The Triage nurse communicates with patients and staff in a manner consistent with clinical protocol and the organization's mission and values. They perform audits in electronic health records as requested by the Director of Quality Management

Essential Functions
- Under the direct supervision of an APRN, CNM, PA or MD appropriately triages telephone calls and portal messages from patients, manages lab results (normal and abnormal), follow up and referrals based on PPSNE Medical Protocols and Centralized Follow-up Policy and Procedures
- Performs audits in electronic health records as requested by the Director of Quality Management
- Performs ongoing proficiency in electronic practice management systems and electronic health records
- Demonstrate proficiency in health center policies, procedures and practices

- Works well with volunteers and interns to achieve the agency’s mission
- May supervise interns and volunteers
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized school of nursing
- Current state license
- CPR certificate of completion
- Reproductive health care or primary care experience highly desirable
- Excellent decision-making abilities both collaboratively and independently
- Demonstrated project management skills, including excellent follow through for multiple projects at multiple locations, ability to work independently as needed
- Excellent customer service skills; ability to provide quality services to meet the individual needs of patients
- Superb attention to detail and ability to follow processes and procedures from beginning to end within established timelines.
- Ability to utilize data to inform the decision-making process
- Desire to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients
- Strong supporter of PPSNE mission and all of the reproductive health services offered – alignment with and ability to lead through the Agency’s core values and diversity philosophy
$77,581 - $96,976 a year
Salary Range*: Minimum starting salary of $77,581
Actual salary is commensurate with full years of experience.
