Planned Parenthood Western Pennsylvania (PPWP) is the local affiliate of the country’s leading sexual and reproductive health care advocate and provider.  PPWP operates seven health centers located in Allegheny, Westmoreland, Cambria and Somerset Counties and provides education and advocacy services throughout western Pennsylvania.   

POSITION PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to support the delivery of comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare, including clinical abortion care and family planning at Planned Parenthood Bridgeville and Moon Township locations.  This role requires a combination of skill and flexibility, as well as a willingness to work as a collaborative and inclusive member of a team. This role requires a compassionate individual with demonstrated communication skills and clinical proficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
      High school degree or equivalent required,
      Customer service experience required
      Excellent oral and written communication skills
      Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
      Consistently demonstrate appropriate service behaviors in interactions with patients and colleagues
      Actively contribute to an inclusive workplace culture by working collaboratively as a valued member of the care team
      Proactively work to resolve conflict and perform service recovery, as needed
      Administrative duties include answering phones, making appointments, taking messages, transferring records for patients, and ensuring completion of health center records and required forms
      Perform patient medical and social history intakes and provide education as indicated for the services patients are seeking as directed by supervisor/clinician on duty
      Complete basic lab work and follow procedures as required
      Provide patients with non-judgmental pregnancy options counseling and make referrals for service based on the patient’s choice
      Perform all recordkeeping duties related to patient care with accuracy
      Perform housekeeping and stocking duties as needed
      Complete HIPAA and OSHA training and other training as required
