About the Position: 

Job Title: AI Architect
Location: Candidate must be located in Canada or the USA. Our office is located in Toronto, ON, Canada, but the role is remote/hybrid/flexible.
Reports to: VP, EPD

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and visionary AI Architect to lead our technical AI strategy and drive the development of AI-powered product features for our all-in-one practice management platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI, machine learning, and software architecture, along with a passion for leveraging emerging technologies to solve complex business challenges. We’re counting on you to:

    • Contribute and collaborate as part of a cross-functional team (with Engineering, Product, Data, and Design stakeholders
    • Understand customer needs and pain points, make informed decisions about our technology, and deliver innovative results to make our customer’s lives better and easier
    • Lead the technical AI strategy in collaboration with technical leadership, defining the roadmap for AI initiatives and aligning them with business objectives
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and data to identify AI opportunities and prioritize projects
    • Design and implement scalable, reliable and efficient AI infrastructure and pipelines
    • Lead the prototyping and experimentation of AI powered solutions, rapidly iterating to validate hypotheses and deliver value to customers
    • Stay current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, evaluating their applicability to our platform and recommending adoption strategies
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence in AI development

Requirements:

    • You have 12-15+ years of experience in software development
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field

Who you are:

    • Proven track record of architecting and implementing AI solutions in a production environment, preferably for SaaS platforms. 
    • Expertise in machine learning techniques, including deep learning, and natural language processing. 
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, and Java.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure) and related services for AI. 
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and can convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
    • You take pride in your work and care about the performance, quality, and security of what you release.
