Job Overview 

As Principal Software Engineer in DevOps team you will build and support applications and infrastructure enabling teams to configure, deploy, operate and monitor the mission critical services powering offered by PredictSpring Cloud platform that servers world's leading brands and retailers for their Modern POS Platform. You will work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. You will influence the strategy and direction of our infrastructure by helping us build scalable solutions to challenging technical problems.

Responsibilities:

    • Building, Scaling and Securing PredictSpring cloud.
    • Ensure PredictSpring cloud services comply with SOC2, PCI-ROC and HIPAA standards.
    • Deployment and configuration of services such as Lambda, RDS, SOLR, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SQS and others.
    • Automating software builds, CI/CD pipelines and deployments using CloudFormation, Jenkins and other similar technologies.
    • Understanding of network management of both cloud (AWS VPC) and physical networks including subnetting, routing, ACLs, and VPN.
    • Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure that is scalable and simple to maintain
    • Experiences in developing and supporting infrastructure security and auditing
    • Strong understanding of AWS Application Load Balancer configuration and WAF rules.
    • Experienced in managing cross continental networks, data storage requirements.
    • Monitoring real-time traffic and application using application Logs, Cloud Watch, NewRelic, or similar service.
    • Ensure site uptime and performance SLAs are met

Skills & Experience

    • BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering with 10+ years or equivalent experience
    • Be a self-starter, able to learn independently and adapt quickly
    • Strong knowledge of AWS, and cloud architectures 
    • Experience with SOLR, ElasticSearch, Queues, Data Streams
    • Experience with Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines, APM tools.
    • String scripting skills using bash, python etc for automation
    • Good communications and documentation skills
    • Expert in building automated deployment and scalable systems

Nice To Have

    • Experience working on Retail POS platforms and solutions.
    • Experience working on eCommerce platforms and solutions.
