JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is responsible for implementing NANTUM in commercial buildings and achieving project objectives. They work closely with the Account Executive, Project Sponsor, and Project Management Team to define project milestones and create a plan to execute and achieve those objectives.  The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and in which they will be used.  They may also assist in the strategic planning for the department. The Project Manager must be an excellent communicator at all levels within the project environment, be proactive, exhibit strong leadership qualities, and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically dispersed project environment. 

The ideal candidate has professional experience in HVAC, controls, and technology. The role will be based out of New York and requires traveling locally on a regular basis. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for successful project delivery and Nantum implementation
    • Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, and budget commitments established in the project plan
    • Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget
    • Manages resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting budget and labor requirements
    • Continually identify and proactively manage project risks and issues.
    • Work with leadership to develop and implement solutions
    • Review and approve material and subcontractor invoices for payment
    • Prepares and delivers final project closure and documentation to customers and ensures final payment
    • Collaboration with Prescriptive Data’s Field Engineering team and installation subcontractors for compliance with design and implementation
    • Regular site visits during the project implementation cycle 
    • Work with and train Building Engineers, Account Managers, and Executives when implementing Nantum
    • Provide technical training and support both internally and externally
    • Lead on-site data collection needs in building mechanical and control rooms 
    • Create design, commissioning, and installation plans and drawings 
    • Analyze building automation systems and recommend changes to improve functionality and energy efficiency 
    • Using Niagara, design, program, and commission building control sequences to achieve customer energy and sustainability goals
    • Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot Modbus, BACnet, and IoT devices Work with PD Engineering and R&D teams to develop, test, and implement new Nantum features at pilot sites
    • Other duties may be assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

    • Experience with Niagara and N4 certification
    • Proven excellence in a project management and/or consulting role 
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders
    • Very strong analytical thinker with a passion for executing on projects
    • Understanding of client needs and the ability to ensure project delivery aligns with customer expectations
    • Fast learner with a strong technical acumen
    • Excels independently and in a team environment
    • Good understanding and technical knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems
    • Detailed understanding and technical knowledge with building automation systems
    • Organizational skills including, but not limited to, the ability to handle multiple demands and assignments, the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently, and the ability to manage resource procurement and utilization
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Visio

EXPERIENCE

    • Five to Eight years of related work experience
    • A minimum of three years related work experience required in the building automation/controls and/or installation of mechanical HVAC equipment
    • Working experience with building automation vendors (Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Alerton, Automated Logic, ec.) 
    • IT knowledge
