As a Junior Security Engineer at Flipster
Are you ready to take charge of security engineering and shape the future of our organization? We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to implement cutting-edge security practices and automate incident response and contribute to our adaptive security approach. Responsibilities
- Analyze security events and logs to identify threats and support incident response
- Operate and manage SaaS-based security solutions
- Develop scripts and tools to automate security tasks (e.g., Python, Shell)
- Monitor security policies and compliance, and assist with documentation
- Support internal security assessments and incident response
- Collaborate with senior engineers to execute and support security projects
Qualifiacations
- Willingness to explore various security domains and expand expertise beyond a specific field
- Less than 3 years of experience in a security-related role
- Knowledge and experience with security operations in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, etc.)
- Basic understanding of security concepts and principles (e.g., network security, system security, vulnerability analysis)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Bash) for security automation and analysis
- A positive, open-minded team player with a strong willingness to learn
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred
- Experience operating a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system
- Participation in CTF competitions or cybersecurity contests
- English communication skills to effectively collaborate with a global team
- Experience working in a fast-paced IT startup environment
