About Prilenia 

Prilenia Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the urgent mission of developing novel therapeutics to slow the progression of neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopmental disorders, is looking for an Administrative Assistant & Travel Coordinator to join our operations team. Prilenia has offices in the U.S., Israel and The Netherlands. 

We are a flexible, fast-moving team that is quickly advancing a potential therapy poised to have major impact on the lives of patients and their families. Our lead product candidate, pridopidine, holds Orphan Drug Designation in both Huntington’s disease (HD) and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in the U.S. and EU, as well as Fast Track designation from the FDA for the treatment of HD. Prilenia is preparing a regulatory filing in HD and a Phase 3 clinical trial in ALS. 

Pridopidine has the potential to be the first treatment to address HD disease clinical progression. Prilenia believes pridopidine’s novel mechanism of action as a sigma-1 receptor agonist also gives it potential in numerous other neurological diseases. 

About the role 

The Administrative Assistant & Travel Coordinator will be responsible for smooth operation of various administrative affairs, focusing primarily on administrative tasks such as travel coordination, meeting logistics, personal support to the CEO for Israel-related matters, and some office management. This role will include communication with senior-level personnel and external contacts to assist with company objectives.  

The ideal candidate must have experience in roles involving multi-tasking of various administrative and logistics support, demonstrated ability to work independently, detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills and have a strong background that includes working across multiple time zones in a global environment.  

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Oversee travel arrangements for all employees in coordination with the respective travel agents (in Israel and the US). Manage the relationships with travel agents, as well as define and periodically adapt travel planning and authorization process.  
    • Plan and manage the logistics for company meetings, scientific and medical conferences and other special events (e.g. company gatherings, BOD meetings)  
    • Provide support for the CEO with personal matters in Israel and during his occasional visits to the country (1-2 times per year) 
    • Work collaboratively with the Operations team on other administrative projects e.g. administrative support for managing the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), research and roll out systems and processes that solve operational pain points etc.  
    • Serve as the focal point on all Israel office management matters including: 
    • Act as a liaison with the Co-working space community manager on any suite needs (e.g. parking stickers, meeting room reservation). 
    • Maintain general office functions (e.g. office supply inventory, distribute mail, POC for phone company etc.) 
    • Assist with HR ops and recruitment in Israel as needed from time to time.   

Qualifications

    • Recent 5+ years-experience as Administrative Assistant in a global setting (preferably in biotech/health-tech)
    • Fluent in both English and Hebrew 
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills required 
    • Resourceful quick thinker who knows how to constantly prioritize and adapt and does not let any ball to drop  
    • Comfortable in ambiguous, rapidly changing, loosely defined settings  
    • Self-starting independent multitasker with flawless attention to detail  
    • Strong MS Outlook, PowerPoint & Excel skills required 
    • Can do approach and service oriented  
    • Flexible work schedule; responsiveness outside general business hours when necessary 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to understand and respond to multiple external and internal customers’ demands, manage and handle conflict constructively, including in a remote setting 
Location/Time 

This is a full-time hybrid (mostly virtual) position in Israel. Company offices located in Yakum and Ramat Gan. Flexible schedule with interactions across Israel, North America and Europe time zones
