A Warehouse Lead in a printing facility plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of materials and products related to the printing process, from raw materials to finished printed goods.
Key responsibilities
Inventory Management:
Overseeing and managing inventory levels of printing materials (e.g., paper stock, inks, plates) and finished products.
Conducting regular inventory checks, updating the warehouse management system, and forecasting inventory needs.
Ensuring accuracy and availability of materials for production.
Implementing efficient restocking and storage strategies to prevent shortages.
Shipping and Receiving Coordination:
Coordinating the efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
Working with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of materials and shipments.
Managing loading and unloading processes, ensuring proper handling and packaging.
Verifying quantities and condition of incoming and outgoing shipments, resolving discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
Warehouse Staff Supervision:
Supervising and mentoring warehouse staff, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress.
Providing training and guidance to ensure efficient and effective task execution.
Conducting performance reviews and providing feedback to promote a high-performance culture.
Resolving personnel issues and fostering a positive work environment.
Safety Protocol Enforcement:
Reinforcing and enforcing safety procedures, rules, and regulations to minimize mishaps and injuries.
Conducting regular safety assessments, identifying potential hazards, and implementing preventive actions.
Training staff on proper equipment usage, material handling, and emergency response plans.
