A "mailroom manager in the print industry" is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a print company's mailroom operations, including sorting, distributing printed materials, managing outgoing mailings, maintaining inventory of packaging supplies, and supervising mailroom staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of printed products to clients while adhering to established print production schedules and quality standards
Key responsibilities may include:
Mail Handling:
Receiving and sorting incoming printed materials from the production floor.
Accurately labeling and packaging printed materials for delivery.
Coordinating with shipping carriers for timely delivery of printed products.
Managing outgoing mail, including bulk mailings and customer orders.
Staff Supervision:
Leading and managing a team of mailroom staff.
Assigning tasks and monitoring performance of mailroom personnel.
Training new employees on mailroom procedures and safety protocols.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining adequate stock levels of packaging materials (envelopes, boxes, labels).
Ordering and managing inventory to ensure timely replenishment.
Quality Control:
Inspecting printed materials for quality before packaging and shipping.
Identifying and addressing any issues related to print quality or packaging errors.
Operational Efficiency:
Implementing and maintaining efficient mailroom workflows.
Optimizing processes to minimize errors and maximize productivity.
Monitoring mailroom costs and identifying potential cost-saving measures.
Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant postal regulations and shipping guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
