Our message in 2020 is clear, but it’s our job to communicate with voters in an extremely noisy environment.

As the Deputy Director of Paid Media, you will report to the Paid Media Director, and manage the team responsible for recommending budgets, writing media plans and deploying campaigns intended to reach voters, move the needle, and win. Our team will never be divided between TV and digital, because that’s not how voters divide their attention. Screens are everywhere, and we’ll be there too.

Job description:
- Manage the in-house media planning and buying team that is primarily focused on digital platforms
- Work collaboratively with research, analytics, strategy teams to ultimately write, manage and oversee paid media budgets. You will recommend budget allocations by audience, channel (TV, digital, etc) + geography for paid media leadership to review
- Manage external message & media consultants in their work pertaining to budgets / buying, coordinating with the in-house buying team responsible for digital
- Coordinate cross team reporting needs & collaboration, including needs for compliance and performance tracking
- Develop and own our team’s structure of meetings, workflow, and processes to ensure we are always focused on deploying an integrated media program that reaches voters
- Work collaboratively across teams and consultants to ensure we are collecting the right research & data to drive our program, and also distilling our own relevant learnings externally

- Experience managing a TV budget and plan
- Curiosity and passion for digital strategy is required, and digital experience is preferred
- Experience managing two or more direct reports
- Passion for organization, project management, spreadsheets + planning ahead
- Two or more political cycles working with or at a campaign or organization
- Deep and unyielding desire to defeat Donald Trump at the ballot box in November
The salary band for this role starts at $120,000 annually and will be commensurate with experience. The compensation also includes a benefits package that includes health care, paid holidays and vacation.
