Do you enjoy building and improving commercial systems knowing that your work is transforming day to day lives? Then this role is for you! The Salesforce Developer is responsible for developing and optimizing the commercial team business systems, with a particular emphasis on Salesforce (SFDC) and third party applications. This role combines hands-on technical development in Salesforce with strategic planning to ensure business processes are streamlined and supported by effective system functionality. The ideal candidate has strong experience in Salesforce configuration and development, as well as a track record of implementing innovative system solutions that drive business growth, productivity and efficiency. Get ready to work directly with stakeholders across the commercial field team and Revenue Operations team to deliver foundational advancements!
What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Lead Salesforce-related projects, including implementations, migrations, and major enhancements.
- Design, develop and implement custom solutions in Salesforce, including workflows, validation rules, flows, Lightning Web Components (LWCs), Visualforce pages, and custom objects.
- Configure and integrate commercial team systems to meet business needs including but not limited to Field Service Lightning, Propel PLM, Pardot, CPQ, ETLs, Tableau, GoMeddo and custom web integrations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to translate business requirements into scalable solutions and drive alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Collaborate with Salesforce Administrator, IT and other system teams (e.g., ERP, marketing platforms) to align workflows and ensure cohesive business processes.
- Develop project plans, manage timelines, and ensure on-time delivery of milestones.
- Document and communicate project progress, technical decisions, and post-implementation evaluations.
- Perform rigorous testing to ensure system functionality, security and data integrity before deployments.
- Provide training to end-users on features, new functionality, and administrative maintenance.
- Develop documentation and training materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Offer ongoing support to troubleshoot and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements and maximizing system functionality.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to optimize integrations and system performance.
- Complete tasks per business needs at manager discretion.
- Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance
- Understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics EHS policy
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- 8+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 5 years in a hands-on development role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience with Salesforce customization and tools, including Flow, Lightning Web Components, APIs, Visualforce and SOQL.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, best practices, and development lifecycle.
- Salesforce Administrator and Salesforce Platform Developer I certification mandatory.
The Qualifications We Would Like You to Possess
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on technical work.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical solutions with business needs.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Additional certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Integration Architecture Designer) desired.
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other business systems (e.g., ERP, marketing platforms).
- Experience in medical device or healthcare life sciences industry preferred.
- Hybrid preferred, but open to remote candidates with expected travel minimum once per calendar quarter to headquarters.

Work Authorization Status: Citizen / Permanent Resident
For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $115,000-136,000 per year.
Plus, eligibility for an annual bonus and equity/RSUs.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.

We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.
