Procon Consulting, a fast-growing professional services firm in McLean, VA with expertise in construction management (CM), construction-related technology, space planning, and facilities management, seeks a Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) Technical Specialist or Implementation Manager, to provide assistance to the customer in utilizing and integrating new technologies that support engineering and construction projects and programs.  This is a role in conjunction with the federal government and will be centered around Kahua and other PMIS software. The ideal candidate will posses the following: 

Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
    • Minimum 2 years of experience with Power BI, with expertise in ETL, data modeling, DAX, and visualizations
    • Strong understanding of data quality principles and data cleansing techniques
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience with agile methodologies in a program/portfolio environment
    • Strong understanding of data quality principles, ETL processes, and data cleansing techniques.

    • Bonus Qualifications:
    • ETL Experience: Familiarity with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes and tools would be advantageous.
    • PMIS Knowledge: Understanding of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) like Kahua, e-Builder, PMWeb, or Oracle Unifier.
    • SharePoint Experience: Experience with SharePoint document management is desirable.

Responsibilities and Duties

    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and prioritize relevant data points and key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
    • Conduct potential ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) activities to consolidate and integrate data from various sources into a unified system or database.
    • Assist the PMIS team with system rollout activities, including documentation creation, configuration, communication, and testing.
    • Conduct regular data audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy in reporting.
    • Utilize creative flair to produce visually appealing and informative data visuals that effectively communicate insights.
    • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, proactive initiative, and a strong sense of ownership to ensure project success.
    • Deliver high-quality and timely deliverables, meeting project milestones and objectives consistently.
    • Maintain oversight of various dashboards and targets, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
    • Execute tasks in an agile manner within a typical program or portfolio framework.
    • Connect diverse data sources (e.g., folders, files, SharePoint, Azure, databases) to Power BI for streamlined data visualization.
    • Apply analytical thinking to translate raw data into meaningful statistics and actionable information.
    • Develop and update Power BI procedures specific to project deployment and dashboard maintenance, including administrative activities within the Power BI workspace.
$80,000 - $140,000 a year
Salary is based upon experience and cost of living in Remote locale.
