This position reports to Productable’s Vice President of Success and Transformation.

What We Do

At Productable, we empower problem solvers to tackle critical challenges ranging from national security to life-saving technologies. Our mission is to make fearless experimentation the modus operandi for federal organizations and Fortune 2000. We’re obsessed with outcomes and believe that a portfolio approach is the answer to predictable success. Productable’s patent-pending enterprise innovation platform empowers organizations to turn ideas into outcomes by providing a step-by-step framework for innovators to validate ideas while keeping leadership in the know. With Productable, leaders get all the right insights, so they know when to pile on resources or when to pivot; and individual innovators get the guidance they need to develop their ideas faster – ultimately driving more efficient outcomes faster.

What You’ll Do

Our Success and Transformation Leads directly support the leadership and personnel of military organizations in building and driving their Productable-powered innovation campaigns. These customers need help getting the most out of our software platform, which helps them talk to each other, tee up and make decisions, and allocate effort and resources. They also need our expert support in leading change, from envisioning an innovation-enabled future, to understanding the challenges imposed by their current state, and to bridging the two. Hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands of people can engage in these campaigns; it’s our job to make that not only possible, but delightful.

We know the best talent comes from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Don't hesitate to apply if you feel you can be successful in this role, even if your background isn't a perfect match with the qualifications below.

As a Success and Transformation Lead, you’ll need to:

    • Own and maintain organizational relationships. When we sell to a four-star command, we’re making promises about their success, and about the experience they’ll have with us. Airmen, Colonels, Generals, GS-15s, Senior Executives, and everyone in between will look to you for the bright and authoritative word. We’ll look to you to ensure we hold their affection and their trust.
    • Run to—and resolve—the right problems. Whenever something stands between our customers and their next delight, you’ll be the bringer of relief, whether on your own steam or by focusing the team.
    • Be an ambassador of the entrepreneurial mindset. With your guidance and support, ground-level innovators, mid-level integrators and action officers, and senior leaders like General Officers will fall in love with the way things could be. They’ll also understand the part they need to play in their organization’s innovation symphony and follow through with assurance.
    • Make strong innovators, and make innovators strong. From ground-level design, experimentation, and discovery, to mid-level resource allocation and barrier removal, to senior-level vision- and condition-setting, we want our users and their colleagues to have the skills they need.
    • Know and advocate for your customer organizations’ needs. Your executive presence, storytelling, writing, speaking, customer discovery, communication of customer insights, analyses, and more, will be critical every step of the way.
    • Strengthen our Success and Transformation team. For our customers, our colleagues at Productable, and each other, our motto is “you can count on us”. That means grit, humor, creativity, ownership, always having each other’s backs, and continually investing in ourselves and each other.
    • Know our product, methodology, and people like the back of your hand, so our customers can get the full benefit of all three—and so you can help us all to improve.
    • Thrive in growth and change. We’re a startup, growing by leaps and bounds. You will, too.

Qualifications

    • Fiery passion on behalf of innovators everywhere, especially in large institutions like the Armed Forces.
    • Experience leading innovation implementations within large organizations.
    • Experience being a trusted partner for executive leaders of large organizations, ideally with experience briefing and shaping decisions for senior military leadership.
    • Experience rigorously assessing process- and outcomes-based impact using qualitative and quantitative methods, and presenting those findings to lay audiences to drive and inform change.
    • Experience designing, delivering, and customizing world-class training, drawing on your own experience applying these same disciplines. Change management, process management, Lean, Lean Start-up, and similar are all fair game.
    • Time with the Armed Services, especially the Air Force.
    • U.S. Person status with the ability to obtain security clearance.
    • A current Department of Defense Common Access Card (preferred but not necessary).
    • While this position is remote, you will need to work closely with customer staff during their work hours across their headquarters and satellite locations, and will sometimes need to be on-site with them. Your early months with us, especially, will likely require ample travel as you establish relationships, get familiar with our customers and platform, and learn everything you’ll need to operate autonomously. After that, expect ~1 week each month of travel, with the potential for more (perhaps even to different continents!) whenever we take a new organizational customer.
