Project Ronin is developing disruptive and cutting edge healthcare insight & clinical decision support technology to address the needs of providers and patients everywhere. Ronin’s Informatics team needs an ambitious and driven Senior to Staff Informatics professionals to develop healthcare data models for application and data science use cases alike. You will be directly responsible for translating end user needs into approaches and strategies which result in consumable and understandable data. By doing so, you will directly enable healthcare providers and patients to make complex, informed decisions surrounding cancer care.

Clinical Informatics at Project Ronin has a core responsibility to make data usable and consumable. To achieve this, you will be tasked with partnering across the organization to contextualize healthcare data and align it to standards, model features, application requirements and other end use cases. You will work hand in hand with data engineers, application developers, product and design professionals, data scientists and analysts alike.

We are a rapidly growing company. You will start by executing a needs assessment & gap analysis. You will be responsible for translating those results into practice by partnering with the Director of Clinical Informatics, Data Science & Engineering Leadership.

We invite individuals who are eager to learn, excited to tackle complex data and scientific problems, ready to abandon outdated notions of relational structures and focus on innovation and disruption in the field of healthcare informatics. Our team & the urgency of our mission requires that you be capable of a critical appraisal of the status quo in healthcare technology and ready to develop rapidly towards interoperability.

Here’s what you will do day to day:

    • Translate product and internal end user needs into data models to facilitate ETL and downstream utilization of healthcare data.
    • Work hand in hand with Data Engineers to create and deploy FHIR packages and update FHIR server with FHIR canonical resources (profiles, code systems, etc.)
    • Own, maintain & publish the FHIR Implementation Guide and downstream data catalogs
    • Collaborating with Data Science, Data Platform, Interoperability Engineering and Clinical Intelligence as part of project based and agile teams
    • Interact with FHIR Management systems (Simplifier, Forge) and GitHub to develop and maintain application facing data models
    • Collaborate with Informaticists, Data Engineers and Application Engineers to leverage healthcare standards in product logic and clinical decision support logic
    • Query and explore a FHIR Server, Clinical Data Repository & Datastore via Graph QL, REST API, SQL Client or Notebook Based Interface in collaboration with Data Engineers, Application Engineers, Product Managers and additional stakeholders as needed.
    • Serve as an SME on matters related to logical & semantic considerations of HL7 FHIR & further normalized downstream models.
