We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB. 

 We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to help build the financial infrastructure of our new state of the art manufacturing facility!  The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, experience in manufacturing, financial analysis, and the ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations.

What You Will Do:

    • General Ledger Management: Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized.
    • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment tracking, and reconciliations.
    • Payroll Processing : Oversee payroll administration, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, deductions, and timely payments. 
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
    • Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support strategic planning.
    • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, provincial , and federal tax regulations, including preparing and submitting tax filings.
    • Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring accurate and timely provision of financial data and documentation.
    • Cost Analysis: Conduct cost analysis to help identify efficiencies and optimize production costs within the facility.
    • Financial Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
    • Other duties as requested.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

    • College or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 8+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
    • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data.
    • CPA or equivalent certification is preferred but not required
