We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB. 

To support our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Material Handler/ Forklift Operator to be responsible for the safe operation of machinery in order to move, transfer, and load finished building components.  

What you will do:

    • Promote knowledge sharing among team members and departments to foster a culture of learning and growth.  
    • Operate all types of lift devices such as forklifts, overhead cranes, hoists, elevating platforms, lift beams, counterbalance, side loaders, swivel hooks and bobcats.  
    • Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms and lifting devices. 
    • Support inventory control with accurate documentation. 
    • Provide on the job training to other employees. 
    • Maintain safety standards in the workplace. 
    • Follow quality control procedures. 
    • Inform leadership of any issues that may impact production. 
    • Ensure that the required materials and supplies are available. 
    • Participate actively in problem solving sessions, continuous improvement initiatives.  
    • Perform additional duties as required.  

What you will need to succeed:

    • Valid Forklift license  
    • 3 years + of experience in Material Handler position. 
    • Capable of operating Forklift, Overhead Crane, Hoists, Elevating Platforms, Lift Beams, Counterbalance, Side Loaders, Swivel Hooks and Bobcats.  
    • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills   
    • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills   
    • Organized, focused and persistent with the ability to work to the plan and meet delivery dates   
    • Excellent problem solver and quick learner  
    • Ability to operate hand and power tools. 
    • Knowledge of Company health and safety rules. 
    • Knowledge of imperial and metric measurement systems. 
    • Ability to adapt to changing environment.  
    • Knowledge of rigging.
