Position Summary:
Proof Diagnostics has an exciting new opportunity within our Research and Development team.
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to coordinate and execute
studies on our novel in-vitro diagnostic products within the Instrumentation Lab.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Development the successful candidate will work
closely with other R&D team members through various stages of product development. The
position will be responsible for managing internal IVD instrumentation, study planning/execution,
data analysis and preparation of technical documents. This role will collaborate closely with
members of the Assay Development and Product Development teams within R&D.

Key Responsibilities:
 Hands-on testing of Proof Diagnostics in-vitro diagnostics instruments/hardware and
consumables.
 Independently design, develop and execute studies to advance the development of new
and existing products.
 Collaborate with Assay Development and Product Development team members to
successfully integrate new assays to novel IVD instrumentation and consumables.
 Manage the internal instrument fleet at Proof Diagnostics. This includes instrument
commissioning, maintenance, scheduling, software upgrades and failure resolution.
 Establish and maintain processes to track and report instrument and consumable metrics
that drive product quality.

Job Requirements and Necessary Skills:
 B.S. or M.S. degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering or
related field.
 3-5 years industry experience (IVD a plus).
 Direct knowledge and experience with molecular biology techniques such as qPCR.
 Demonstratable experience working with automated instrumentation and software.
Mechanical aptitude a plus.
 Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills.
 Experience working in Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) laboratory a plus.
