ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Salesforce to join our dynamic engineering team at Propel Software. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions while mentoring junior team members and contributing to architectural decisions.
In this role you can expect to:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of customized Salesforce solutions, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and integrations with external systems.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Drive end-to-end Salesforce implementations, from requirements gathering to deployment and ongoing support.
- Manage Salesforce configuration and customization (flows, objects, validation rules, permissions, etc.).
- Optimize system architecture for performance, scalability, and security.
- Mentor junior developers and serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce best practices.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to recommend improvements.
To be successful in this role you bring:
- 8+ years of enterprise software development experience, with at least 5+ years focused on Salesforce development.
- Proven track record of Salesforce product development at scale.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and Salesforce APIs.
- Experience with integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, version control, and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g., Git, CircleCI).
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect and implement complex solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Salesforce certifications strongly preferred (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, System Architect).
- Ability to effectively leverage AI-powered coding tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, or similar AI code assistants to enhance coding efficiency and improve code quality
$150,000 - $180,000 a year
Please note the salary range shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. In addition to the base pay noted above, this position also offers participation in the company bonus program which is paid out based on company performance.
