The Role
Our Operations team is seeking an experienced leader to head our Operations Learning and Development (L&D) team. The individual will drive the enhancement, development, and implementation of comprehensive training programs for the operations department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of training initiatives across all Operational areas. This includes content development and best practices in instructional design. Our ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, taking full ownership of the overall program. They will exhibit outstanding attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, adept communication skills, a solution-driven mindset, collaborative disposition, and a keen aptitude for effectively navigating team dynamics.

Problems You Will Solve

    • Lead and empower the Learning and Development (L&D) team using a strategic, data-driven approach to enhance operational support
    • Development of e-learning pathways tailored for adult learners in operational training programs
    • Ability to incorporate AI within Learning and Development practices to actively drive efficiency enhancements within the training framework
    • Continuously assess program effectiveness by developing meaningful indicators of employee experience and performance while adjusting for improvement opportunities
    • Proactively work with team to evaluate, refine, or define training initiatives for continued program growth and development
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for Learning and Development (L&D) to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement
    • Create a robust framework for newly implemented knowledge management system
    • Navigate within ambiguous situations, with high levels of autonomy
    • Manage learning management system administration, leveraging LMS data to monitor training progress and effectiveness
    • Ensure training programs captivate, remain pertinent, and yield desired outcomes
    • Facilitate training sessions for both new hires and existing staff members
    • Proven capability in project management, adeptly guiding teams towards high-quality solutions
    • Analyze suggested improvement ideas to drive ongoing enhancement to training programs

About You

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Organizational (IO) Psychology, Education, Communications or relevant field, or relevant experience required
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a corporate training, learning & development, facilitation, or relevant capacity, 8 years preferred (candidates with experience in these settings for financial services and/or fintech will be prioritized)
    • 2-3 years of Management experience
    • Documented success in creating effective e-learning training programs
    • Demonstrated experience in planning, writing, editing, and proofreading educational content for adult learners
    • Expertise in developing framework for knowledge management systems that enhance the user experience while driving efficiency
    • Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and monitor training initiatives
    • Proven aptitude managing, leading, and motivating people
    • Proficient in various Learning Management Systems (LMS), demonstrating a solid understanding of their functionalities and capabilities
    • Must have strong critical thinking and analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication expertise
    • Self-starter who is positive and able to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated success working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

$103,000 - $141,000 a year
Compensation details: The salary for this position is $103,000 - $141,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
