Purpose: This role serves Protection & Retirement Distribution through the design, development, and delivery of learning solutions that empower our key stakeholders to drive meaningful business results. This role will report to the Director of Sales Training and work closely with sales leaders, operations partners, and their respective teams. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of sales training, including planning, building, delivering, supporting, and measuring the programs we offer. The ideal candidate will be organized, well-versed in life insurance and annuities, a skillful communicator using considered and appropriate means, and able to convey advanced sales skills and concepts simply and meaningfully, using adult learning practices and visual communication. The Senior Associate Sales Training plays a strategic role in facilitating high-impact learning experiences that drive sales performance, support enterprise-level initiatives, and accelerate the speed to productivity for new Protectors. This role combines strong facilitation skills, deep industry expertise and strong relationship skills to deliver scalable, innovative, and measurable learning solutions. This role is ideal for someone passionate about adult learning, skilled in communication, and eager to help others grow in their sales careers.

Responsibilities:
• Owns Protection & Retirement Distributions end-to-end sales onboarding program, including provisioning, scheduling, and sales training for newly hired employees as a part of their onboarding experience, helping to accelerate their acclimation to their role.
• Collaborates with Sales Leaders in Protection & Retirement to align training content, delivery, pacing, and sequencing across multiple deliverables to support strategic goals.
• Leads ongoing training and development opportunities and programs to support firstyear employees as they acclimate to the organization, business, and role, and experienced wholesalers in advancing their careers through sales capabilities.
• Consults and collaborates with sales leadership and the training team to identify training needs and to ensure course content, training methods, and materials meet those needs. [2]
• Facilitates engaging, experiential, collaborate sales training sessions with diverse stakeholder groups through Selling with Conviction and IDEA programs, with a focus on expanding across multiple business lines.
• Develops learning solutions that support sales strategies, integrating competitive intelligence, marketing, and adult learning concepts, including but not limited to webinars, digital content, micro-learning, and job aids, and thought documents.
• Partners with Lead Trainers and Subject Matter Experts to create and update content and materials.
• Utilizes content delivery systems to ensure timely, consistent, and measurable execution of training.
• Supports execution of Sales Training strategy aligned to Distribution Goals and Objectives.
• Collaborates with Distribution Operations partners to identify training needs and opportunities appropriate to varied experience levels and with external partners
• Supports project work strategic projects and partnerships under the direction of Lead Trainers and/or Director of Sales Training with little supervision.
• Supports external training opportunities in partnership with wholesalers and sales leaders.

Requirements:
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong planning and execution skillset.
• Ability to learn and leverage learning technologies.
• Stays current on latest and emerging trends and technologies.
• Understands internal systems used by sales teams.
• Intimate understanding of life insurance and annuities products and sales processes.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping timelines.
• Proficient in collaborative work, with the ability to work independently to achieve outcomes.

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate Degree (preferably in a related field such as business administration, human resources, and organization development).
• 5+ years’ experience in the financial services and/or insurance industry.
• Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to deliver to audiences of varying experience and seniority.
• Skilled communicator possessing strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent planning, organizing, coordinating, and time management skills, with strong attention to detail
• Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); CRM and illustration experience is preferred.
• Experience with learning management systems and technologies is preferred.
• Experience adapting presentations “in real-time” as audience needs dictate (examples – ability to adapt to a shortened time allotment for training, a location change, technology challenges)

$70,000 - $85,000 a year
Protective’s targeted compensation for this position is $70k-$85k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees.
